Beauty of Nature film series – Seasons, Saturday, April 1st, 5:30pm at Warner Grand Theatre, 478 W. 6th Street, San Pedro.  An awe-inspiring tale about the “golden age of forests” when the ice retreated and animals roamed on beautiful natural lands.  A visually stunning film by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud who brought us “Winged Migration.” (2016; 97 min) Cost $10.  Youth free. Tickets: pvplc.org, Events & Activities

Team Leader Training at White Point Nature Preserve, Saturday, April 8th, 9am – 12pm.  Help support and lead outdoor volunteer days.  Volunteer for 2 events and sign up at www.pvplc.volunteerhub.com.

EARTH DAY Celebration at White Point Nature Preserve, Saturday,  April 22nd, 9am-12pm.  Families are invited to participate by helping to beautify the native plant garden and trails, taking a guided family hike through the preserve, enjoying a special nature inspired art activities, and much more!  Lunch and gifts sponsored by Toyota with coffee and snacks provided by Starbucks.  RSVP at: pvplc.volunteerhub.com

Stories, Songs and More for All at the White Point Nature Education Center, Saturday, April 8th, 10amShare the joy of storytelling with your children and introduce them to the beauty of the natural surroundings. Your family will enjoy spending time with retired Children’s Librarian Carla Sedlacek for stories and activities featuring nature themes, exciting props and songs. Free. 1600 W. Guided NATURE WALK by Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy at Linden H. Full Moon Hike at George F Canyon, Sunday, April 9th with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy. Explore nocturnal sights with an expert naturalist under a full moon at the George F Canyon Nature Preserve.  Must be age 9 and up.  $12 per person.  Reservations required at www.pvplc.org, Events & Activities.

Birding with Wild Birds Unlimited at White Point Nature Preserve, Wednesday, April 19th, 8:30am. Explore the birds making a home in the restored habitat at this beautiful preserve.  Binoculars supplied for beginners.  The program is free.  All ages welcome.  White Point Nature Preserve is located at 1600 W. Rapid Response Team, Fridays and Saturdays, 9am – 12pm. Work alongside Conservancy staff protecting important wildlife habitat by closing unauthorized trails! Task include trail maintenance, building fence, installing signage and more! We work at various locations around the Preserve where work is most needed. Directions to sites emailed upon sign up.
