Beauty of Nature Film Series Presented by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, “TRACKS”, June 19th, 5pm, Peninsula High School Theater, 27118 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates. (Australia 2013; 112 min.) Adventurer Robyn Davidson crossed the Australian desert on foot alone in 1977. Drawn from her memoir, this drama depicts her arduous journey. Following the film, Conservancy’s board member Susan McKenna will lead a Q&A about the film and book, drawing from her life in Australia. $10 per person. Free for 18 years and under. Singin’ the Blues and other PV Butterflies by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy at the White Point Nature Education Center on Saturday, June 25th, 11am. Meet local butterfly expert and get viewing tips from Jess Morton, PV/South Bay Audubon Society.  Free. Become a White Pont Nature Center Docent with a Training June 4th 9 am!  You can help increase accessibility for visitors to enjoy the White Point Nature Education Center as a docent (Open Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday 10am-4pm). No skills or experience required, just an interest in learning more about the area’s local natural and cultural history and geology. Must be 18 years or older. A training will be held by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy on June 4th from 9am – 12pm at White Point Nature Preserve, 1600 S.
