LBHOA Summer Concert-in-the-Park

Bring your blankets, friends, and community spirit and join us at Lunada Bay Park as we kick off our 2026 Summer Concert-in-the-Park series with “Saxon Weiss.”

Two years ago, PV Magazine featured a PV Intermediate School sixth-grader, Saxon Weiss, whose musical journey is a captivating story that showcases his passion and talent for music.  His love for live performances is evident, and he aspires to be recognized for his ability to play various styles of music rather than confining himself to a single genre. Currently proficient in classical, jazz, blues, rock, Hawaiian slack key, bluegrass, and country, Saxon has not only mastered diverse genres but has also ventured into songwriting.  Saxon is set to release his highly anticipated album later this year.

Three more concerts are planned for this season. Want more concerts like these? We’d love to add additional dates–community donations make it possible. Please consider contributing to help us expand the series!

Olmsted Legacy and the History of Palos Verdes Estates

You are invited to a presentation by Victoria Vanhuss of the Olmsted Network as she explores how the Olmsted Legacy still shapes how our community looks, feels and functions. Victoria has served the Olmsted Network for 5 years and her cultural experience with the National Park Service and World Heritage USA gives her unique perspective.

Did you know the Olmsted firm designed Palos Verdes, the same visionaries behind Central Park and Yosemite National Park?

Discover how communities across the country are caring for their Olmsted landscapes. Learn how you can join, and help launch, a local “Friends of Olmsted” group right here in our community. This is a national movement to preserve and celebrate Olmsted heritage and to preserve the vision the Olmsted Firm had for urban planning and landscape design replete with the open spaces and the green corridors our city and others across the country enjoy.

Malaga Cove Library is located at 2400 Via Campesina at Via Corta in the Malaga Cove area of Palos Verdes Estates. For more information visit www.pvld.org or call (310) 377-9584 x 551
