The Palos Verdes Homes Association Election
The 91st Annual Meeting will be held January 10th 2017 in the Council Chambers of PVE City Hall
The PVHA was established in 1923 to interpret and manage the Protective Restrictions that run with the land in PVE and Miraleste area of Rancho Palos Verdes and to maintain an independent Art Jury. Building, exterior changes, structures, landscape and improvements affecting property within the jurisdiction of PVHA are required to be reviewed and approved by the Art Jury. PVHA is not a government entity. It is a private, non-profit corporation governed by a 5-person all volunteer Board of Directors. If you own real estate in PVE or Miraleste you are a member of Palos Verdes Homes Association. Every building site has one vote in the annual election of the PVHA Board of Directors.
Returning your member verification and ballot is important. Unless a quorum is met, no business including that of the election of Directors, may be conducted at the Annual Meeting. This year, if a quorum is met votes will be counted. You may cast your vote for 5 of 8 candidates. Three candidates have been nominated by petition, and 5 are incumbent board members. Directors are elected to serve staggered terms until their successors are elected. If there is not sufficient return to constitute a quorum, the incumbent board shall hold office until the next election. Below you will find qualification information from each of the candidates.
